The meticulously cut marble tiles feature a range of shades ranging from ivory white to pink, with delicate nuances that give depth and movement to the drape. Each tile is exactly placed to mimic the folds and waves of a real fabric, giving the impression of a curtain that flows soft and light.

The mirror inserts are strategically distributed within the mosaic. These pieces shine and reflect ambient light, creating a fascinating contrast with the matt surfaces of marble. Lo specchio "Sole e Luna" è il pezzo più emblematico della nostra serie di specchi. Due tecniche di mosaico artigianale strutturalmente opposte si uniscono armoniosamente per dare vita a una cornice che richiama il classico tema della dualità tra il sole e la luna. Dalle schegge in vari formati di marmo Calacatta Vagli si sprigiona la forza e la vitalità del Sole. La luna invece, simbolo della mutabilità delle forme, del mistero e dell'oscurità, è stata rappresentata con una tecnica che ricorda il "crackle" (la terra asciutta e crepata) attraverso l'utilizzo di colori freddi, quindi marmo Arabescato Vagli e Breccia Violetta Vagli.

Lo Specchio Sole e Luna è quindi solo un esempio delle vaste possibilità che offriamo di realizzare specchi unici con grandezze e cornici personalizzate. 

The mirror "Sun and Moon" is the most emblematic piece of our mirror series. Two techniques of handmade mosaic, structurally opposite, are harmoniously combined to create a frame that recalls the classic theme of duality between the sun and the moon. From the shards in various sizes of marble Calacatta Vagli is released the strength and vitality of the Sun. The moon, instead, symbol of the mutability of forms, mystery and darkness, was represented with a technique that recalls the "crackle" (dry and cracked earth) through the use of cold colors, so marble Arabescato Vagli and Breccia Violetta Vagli.

The Sun and Moon Mirror is therefore only one example of the vast possibilities we offer to make unique mirrors with custom sizes and frames.

Queste rotture non sono lasciate come difetti, ma vengono celebrate e trasformate grazie all'inserimento di intarsi in mosaico. Ogni lesione è riempita con piccoli frammenti di mosaico, creando un effetto visivo straordinario. Questi frammenti sono disposti in modo tale da seguire le linee naturali delle crepe, accentuando la loro bellezza piuttosto che nasconderle.

Le rotture diventano così percorsi sinuosi di colore e luce, che creano una trama complessa ed un contrasto affascinante con la sobrietà del marmo. L'istallazione "Esplorazioni - HIC SUNT LEAENAE" presentata a Marmo+Mac 2023 e 2024 è una struttura composta da due elementi in continuità, un bancone e un trittico di nove pannelli, massima rappresentazione dei nostri "Kintsugi Mosaics". Come nella tecnica giapponese del "Kintsugi", le linee di rottura del materiale sono lasciate visibili, anzi, evidenziate attraverso la loro apertura e un riempimento di schegge in marmo create artigianalmente con i residui di lavorazione. Questa tecnica ci permette di "riparare", e quindi sfruttare, marmi difficili da lavorare ma che presentano colori e tessiture uniche e spettacolari.

In questo caso i verdi intensi, uniti ai marroni e al bianco sono stati ricostruiti con fiumi di schegge che attraversano i pannelli parietali e si estendono poi sui piani del bancone. L'inserimento di tagli di specchio risalta la vibrazione delle schegge dando la parvenza dei riflessi dell'acqua di un fiume. Un fiume che esplora e attraversa la terra su una mappa geografica ancora indefinita e sconosciuta, oltre la quale zone inesplorate e potenzialmente pericolose sono indicate da "HIC SUNT LEAENAE".

The installation "Esplorazioni - HIC SUNT LEAENAE" presented at Marmo+Mac 2023 and 2024 is a structure composed of two elements in continuity, a counter and a triptych of nine panels, maximum representation of our "Kintsugi Mosaics". As in the Japanese "Kintsugi" technique, the lines of material breakage are left visible, indeed, highlighted through their opening and a filling of marble shards created by hand with the processing residues. This technique allows us to "repair", and therefore exploit, marbles difficult to work but that have unique and spectacular colors and textures.

In this case the intense greens, together with the browns and the whites have been reconstructed with rivers of shards that cross the wall panels and then extend on the counters. The insertion of mirror cuts highlights the vibration of the shards giving the appearance of reflections of the water of a river. A river exploring and crossing the earth on an as yet undefined and unknown geographical map, beyond which unexplored and potentially dangerous areas are indicated by "HIC SUNT LEAENAE".
